Why offer your employees Bike Lease?

Life with social distancing needs employers like you to be flexible, and means that the way your employees travel is changing.

Sustainable mobility solutions

Right now, offering alternative mobility solutions as part of your sustainable mobility policy is more important than ever. E-bikes and speed pedelecs are a healthy choice, and they cut your organisation's CO2 emissions, too, making them an ideal solution.

What's more, our towns and cities have never been as saturated as they are now. More and more employees want to cycle to work, whether they're using a normal bike or an electric one.

Diversify your company's mobility policy and enjoy the benefits bicycle leasing has to offer.

What Bike Lease offers your company:

    • Tax reductions thanks to tax arrangements for company bikes
    • A lower carbon footprint, resulting in a more socially responsible company
    • Healthier employees

What Bike Lease offers your employees:

    • Bikes used for commuting are not considered a benefit in kind
    • Saves time in traffic jams and lowers stress caused by problems on the road

How does Bike Lease work?

We provide a 36-month, operational full-service solution, with a wide range of bicycle brands and models to choose from – city bikes, racing bikes, folding bikes, electric bikes, and more. We also have specialist partners from the cycling sector available. They will make sure your employees can count on a reliable service for their contract from start to finish, all over Belgium.

Our offer includes the following services:

  • Bicycle financing
  • A flexible maintenance contract to meet your employees' needs, with maintenance carried out by professionals
  • Compensation if they have an accident or the bicycle is stolen or vandalised, with a fixed excess based on the lease bicycle's value
  • Breakdown assistance within 45 minutes, anywhere in Belgium

Choose hassle-free car sharing

Car sharing is a cost-efficient solution for your company, even while social distancing is in place. Our online booking system also ensures optimum occupancy.

It's easy to ensure hygiene, too, because your smartphone doubles up as a car key and there are guidelines in place for disinfecting the car after use. The driving administration for each user allows us to track who has driven the car if someone is infected or falls ill.

What is car sharing?

Car sharing adds a new dimension to the concept of carpooling. You can manage corporate car sharing using a smart online platform and an innovative app. There's no need to hand over keys, as users open, start and lock cars using the Car Sharing app. Car sharing is a great example of smart sharing and flexible, sustainable mobility. As the employer, you can make cars available and decide which employees can use them.

How does car sharing work?

Book online

Car sharing lets you book a car anywhere, any time. We've developed an intuitive online booking system and a free Car Sharing app for Android and iOS. It takes seconds to book a car, whether you're at the computer or on your smartphone.

You open, start and lock the car using the app. Picking up and dropping off keys is a thing of the past. No smartphone? no problem – we'll give you a chip card.

No more paperwork

The app also makes sure that all data is carefully recorded and kept. Mileage and fuel consumption are automatically recorded after each trip, while users can report any damage quickly and accurately using the app.

The Mobility Card: a user-friendly solution for all your employees

Our Mobility Card makes it convenient for a number of different mobility services to be used within your company. Such services can be enabled and disabled easily for each employee.

The Mobility Card is the ultimate answer to all of your mobility questions, making it easy to arrange, pay for and record business trips.

What is the mobility card?

The Mobility Card provides a way to set a monthly budget or use limit, and mobility options, for each user. The budget system tops up the credit on the card each month, while the limit system sets a credit line at a pre-determined amount. When the user uses the card to pay, the transaction total is deducted from the available budget. This means the Mobility Card can be used by people with or without a lease car. The Mobility Card is offered in collaboration with XXImo.

A Variety Of Mobility Solutions

The Mobility Card gives your employees access to nine different mobility solutions:

  • Public transport (bus, metro, tram, train)
  • Shared mobility: bicycles, scooters, cars
  • Refuelling
  • Electric charging
  • Parking

But also...

  • Taxis
  • Car washes
  • International travel

Public transport

The Mobility Card can be used for trains, trams, the metro and buses. Use the Mobility Card to buy your tickets (SNCB/NMBS, De Lijn) either from ticket machines at the station, online or using the Milo app. It's quick and easy. If you prefer cycling, you can also hire bicycles with the Mobility Card.

Fill up and charge

The Mobility Card lets you fill up at over 2,000 petrol stations in Belgium. You can also allow users to fill up abroad at over 46,000 locations. Users can charge electric vehicles at public charging points both nationwide and abroad.

Parking

The Mobility Card allows you to pay for car parks across Europe. Lots of on-street parking machines accept the Mobility Card, and in the Benelux you can pay per minute in over 200 towns and cities: the mobile app allows you to start and stop your parking time. In Belgium you can use the Mobility Card at all Q-Park, Interparking and Indigo car parks.

Will you be Entrepreneur of the Year 2021?

Will you succeed Stow and I-care as the Entrepreneur of the Year for 2021? Why shouldn't you? Apply before mid-May and your company may just win this prestigious award.

A dazzling event honoring the very best companies

This annual award ceremony is an EY initiative in collaboration with De Tijd and BNP Paribas Fortis. Last year the event had to be celebrated online. The advantage was that the general public was able to live stream the event and watch Prime Minister Alexander De Croo present the Onderneming van het Jaar® award to Stow and Entreprise de l'Année® award to I-care. Jan Jambon presented the Flemish government's Scale-up of the Year award to Robovision and David Clarinval the French version tot Proxyclick. The new winners will be announced on 6 and 7 December, 2021.

Big picture and little picture

The coronavirus pandemic is still affecting businesses this year. The new Entrepreneur of the Year and Scale-up of the Year will have undoubtedly shown excellent growth, innovation and governance as well as a sound approach to the pandemic. Bill Schley's book The Unstoppables calls this the big picture and the little picture. Successful entrepreneurs always keep a close eye on their core business and the financial side of things as well as on the little picture. This is the right emotional mechanism for properly dealing with obstacles, failure and risks.

From an entrepreneurial viewpoint

Didier Beauvois, Head of Corporate Banking at BNP Paribas Fortis, is proud that his company has been a partner of this event right from the start. “Alongside the current pandemic, two major challenges that businesses have to address in 2021 are new technologies and sustainability. Companies that want to remain relevant need to be flexible and creative and must keep reinventing themselves. Our mission is to guide them through this transformation process in the best way possible, because those entrepreneurs are the driving force behind the Belgian economy. Therefore, we like to put these innovators in the spotlight every year and is why we encourage Belgian companies to apply."

Why take part?

Winning the Entrepreneur of the Year award or Scale-up of the Year award offers your company many benefits. These awards have a strong national and international reputation that will help you to strengthen your company's brand awareness. The awards ceremony attracts a great deal of media interest in the winners and finalists, and offers excellent networking opportunities. A place in the finals is also a great way to boost employee motivation at your company.

So don't wait any longer: apply for the Onderneming van het Jaar® 2021 award, Entreprise de l’Année award or Scale-up of the Year award via the Dutch EY website or the French EY website before mid-May. All information on the criteria, selection procedure and registration process are available there. The finalists will be selected in June.
