Mobility, more than just four wheels

BNP Paribas Fortis offers complete mobility solutions. Sometimes a four-wheeled fleet is not enough for your mobility needs.

As a reliable partner, we can help you with every step – or pedal – of your mobility trajectory.

Mobility analysis and advice

Our mobility managers can work together with your relationship manager to develop a future-focused mobility strategy.

We start by listening to you: we want to understand your needs and concerns when it comes to mobility. This is our starting point for creating the best mobility solution for you and your company. We will build on this foundation with our expertise, while also taking Belgium's specific legal and fiscal ecosystem into account.

New mobility solutions

As well asfull-service leasing,we also offer our core product giving you access to our full mobility range, a wide range of basic services and added-value services such ascar parts, carpool management, bicycle leasingandmobility cards. All of our mobility services and their associated services such as parking, electric charging, fuel, tolls and car washing are within reach.

Managing your mobility budget

We'll help you and offer advice about implementing the federal mobility budget[VBK1] in your company. If that's too limited to meet your specific needs and aims, we can develop a personalised mobility budget solution to manage your mobility costs in line with the legal framework, just as we've done for a number of clients previously.

We've already implemented some tailored cost-neutral solutions, allowing our clients to combine lease cars with lease bicycles or other mobility solutions. This means the company can meet its goals while also making good on its promises and obligations.

Those ambitions might range from an ambitious CO2 agenda to a competitive offer to attract talent or a solution to solve your lack of car parking spaces.

Operational leasing is offered by Arval Belgium SA/NV, with the intervention of BNP Paribas Fortis SA/NV – Montagne du Parc/Warandeberg 3, B-1000 Brussels, Brussels Register of Companies VAT BE0403.199.702.
Promotion only available from Thursday 21 January up to and including Wednesday 31 March 2021 and is only available to professional clients (self-employed, liberal professionals and SMEs) of BNP Paribas Fortis and Fintro.

Why offer your employees Bike Lease?

Life with social distancing needs employers like you to be flexible, and means that the way your employees travel is changing.

Sustainable mobility solutions

Right now, offering alternative mobility solutions as part of your sustainable mobility policy is more important than ever. E-bikes and speed pedelecs are a healthy choice, and they cut your organisation's CO2 emissions, too, making them an ideal solution.

What's more, our towns and cities have never been as saturated as they are now. More and more employees want to cycle to work, whether they're using a normal bike or an electric one.

Diversify your company's mobility policy and enjoy the benefits bicycle leasing has to offer.

What Bike Lease offers your company:

    • Tax reductions thanks to tax arrangements for company bikes
    • A lower carbon footprint, resulting in a more socially responsible company
    • Healthier employees

What Bike Lease offers your employees:

    • Bikes used for commuting are not considered a benefit in kind
    • Saves time in traffic jams and lowers stress caused by problems on the road

How does Bike Lease work?

We provide a 36-month, operational full-service solution, with a wide range of bicycle brands and models to choose from – city bikes, racing bikes, folding bikes, electric bikes, and more. We also have specialist partners from the cycling sector available. They will make sure your employees can count on a reliable service for their contract from start to finish, all over Belgium.

Our offer includes the following services:

  • Bicycle financing
  • A flexible maintenance contract to meet your employees' needs, with maintenance carried out by professionals
  • Compensation if they have an accident or the bicycle is stolen or vandalised, with a fixed excess based on the lease bicycle's value
  • Breakdown assistance within 45 minutes, anywhere in Belgium

The Mobility Card: a user-friendly solution for all your employees

Our Mobility Card makes it convenient for a number of different mobility services to be used within your company. Such services can be enabled and disabled easily for each employee.

The Mobility Card is the ultimate answer to all of your mobility questions, making it easy to arrange, pay for and record business trips.

What is the mobility card?

The Mobility Card provides a way to set a monthly budget or use limit, and mobility options, for each user. The budget system tops up the credit on the card each month, while the limit system sets a credit line at a pre-determined amount. When the user uses the card to pay, the transaction total is deducted from the available budget. This means the Mobility Card can be used by people with or without a lease car. The Mobility Card is offered in collaboration with XXImo.

A Variety Of Mobility Solutions

The Mobility Card gives your employees access to nine different mobility solutions:

  • Public transport (bus, metro, tram, train)
  • Shared mobility: bicycles, scooters, cars
  • Refuelling
  • Electric charging
  • Parking

But also...

  • Taxis
  • Car washes
  • International travel

Public transport

The Mobility Card can be used for trains, trams, the metro and buses. Use the Mobility Card to buy your tickets (SNCB/NMBS, De Lijn) either from ticket machines at the station, online or using the Milo app. It's quick and easy. If you prefer cycling, you can also hire bicycles with the Mobility Card.

Fill up and charge

The Mobility Card lets you fill up at over 2,000 petrol stations in Belgium. You can also allow users to fill up abroad at over 46,000 locations. Users can charge electric vehicles at public charging points both nationwide and abroad.

Parking

The Mobility Card allows you to pay for car parks across Europe. Lots of on-street parking machines accept the Mobility Card, and in the Benelux you can pay per minute in over 200 towns and cities: the mobile app allows you to start and stop your parking time. In Belgium you can use the Mobility Card at all Q-Park, Interparking and Indigo car parks.

The road to alternative mobility

Nowadays, responsible fleet management is built around sustainability. We're here to help you identify and realise your Corporate Social Responsibility ambitions.

Together we can cut your company's carbon footprint, improve employee mobility, and make sure these steps become a central pillar of your company's added value. In short, our aim is to have an alternative mobility policy.

Energy transition

We can help you make the switch to alternative mobility and new technologies to reduce your carbon footprint. Our SMaRT approach ensures your fleet has the best energy mix to match your strategy and driver profiles.

Alternative mobility needs new technologies to go hand in hand with new infrastructure. That's why we offer not only electric cars, but also the right charging solutions, too. As part of our integrated service provision we can determine how many charging points you need, install them, and manage how they are used both at the workplace and at the driver's home.

Soft mobility

Modern mobility management is about more than just cars or vans. You need a 360-degree approach. We'll work with you to determine your mobility strategy and needs. Greener cars are just one of the options available. We have a number of mobility management solutions (such as the Mobility Card) and alternative mobility solutions (such as bicycle leasing) to inspire your organisation to offer a more flexible range.

Focus on employees

When you put your employees at the heart of your organisation, you're in a better position to find skilled employees, satisfy them, and retain them. Go a step further than just an alternative mobility solution: focus on their safety and let them play an active role in achieving your sustainability goals. Trust us to improve their safety and integrate new technologies.

Which company will cash in on its nomination for the Leeuw van de Export Award?

On the evening of Wednesday 29 September, FIT will be presenting its Leeuw van de Export Award for the 20th time: the highest award for Flemish companies achieving outstanding export results. Will it be Camco Technologies, Container Technics, Locinox, Molecubes, OTN Systems or Sylva?

Every year, Flanders Investment & Trade (FIT) awards a Leeuw van de Export to two companies that have recorded notable achievements in the field of exports in the past year. We briefly introduce the six nominees below. Be inspired by their stories of expansion abroad and find out which companies are voted the strongest exporters on 29 September at 6pm via a livestream at www.leeuwvandeexport.be.

Nominees in the category 'Companies with up to 49 employees'

Container Technics from Wijnegem

Container Technics has been a specialist in cargo securing technology for nearly four decades. The company sells materials to secure cargo on ships and has established a strong reputation in the shipping world. Since there are hardly any Belgian shipping companies, Container Technics has always been an international SME. Today, they are an all-round partner to shipowners around the world.

CEO Wim Ledegen: "For now, we're managing our central stock from our home base, but we're also considering decentralisation. Italy, the USA or Dubai are suitable candidates. The closer we are to the large ports and shipyards with our materials, the greater our response speed and flexibility."

Molecubes from Ghent

Molecubes develops and builds compact scanners for molecular imaging. All hardware, software and technology are from Flemish soil. The devices visualise organs, tumours or the actions of drugs. During research on COVID-19, the company supplied the only type of scanner that can be used in highly secure virology lab environments. Molecubes scanners are already used in 14 countries, with the United States at the very top of the list.

Co-founder Ewout Vansteenkiste: "Far-away destinations are definitely something we're aiming for, with China and South Korea being the 'icing on the cake'. We're a young company, and there's still so much untapped potential. Together with our partners, we'll look at how we can further differentiate our product range and explore many other areas of application for our devices."

Sylva from Lievegem

Sylva is a plant grower and has been a family business for seven generations. Today, 25 million plants are shipped annually to 40 different countries, including a number of overseas markets. Over the years, the company has steadily developed into an established player in the field of forest plants and hedge plants, and has also been servicing the international market since 2003. Today, Sylva has six local representatives and is in the process of tapping into promising, far-away export countries such as Russia and China.

General Manager Tim Van Hulle: "North America is beckoning. However, given the phytosanitary legislation in place there, it's currently not possible to import plants from our country into the US and Canada. But we're now ready to exploit this huge potential as soon as the market opens up for plants from Belgium."

Nominees in the category 'Companies with 50 or more employees'

Camco Technologies from Heverlee

Camco Technologies is a pioneer in terminal automation. The company specialises in container identification and tracking solutions. After the Netherlands, the United Kingdom and Finland, they managed to gain a foothold in the United States. Process automation, the latest camera technologies, micro-location, artificial intelligence... Technological innovation is a must for Camco Technologies.

CEO Jan Bossens: "In Europe, we're gradually approaching the ceiling in terms of terminal automation. But there are many large-scale projects on the table in Eastern Europe, Russia and China. And the African continent still offers a lot of potential."

Locinox from Waregem

Locinox is a family-owned company that develops and manufactures mechanical, electro-mechanical and access control products for manufacturers and installers of fencing and gates such as locks, hinges, hydraulic pumps, electric motors and access-code keypads. Two-thirds of the added value is derived from the product range itself, while the rest is derived from services. The company is fully committed to technological innovation and sustainability.

CEO Mik Emmerechts: "Exporting is in Locinox' DNA. As a manufacturing company in such a specific industry, you simply have to expand your reach. Today, 90% of our revenue comes from exports, and we're the European market leader in our niche industry."

OTN Systems from Olen

This technology provider deliberately targets energy and transportation with its applications, two industrial sectors that are currently undergoing rapid transformation worldwide. Their technology makes it possible to migrate outdated telecom infrastructures and then efficiently manage new networks. OTN Systems is now active in more than 70 countries and on every continent.

Chief Product Officer Jurgen Michielsen: "Our technology isn't very different from that of the giant telecommunication providers, other than that we develop and implement fully customised solutions for our industrial customers. We continuously look to innovate and stand out from the major market players. We do this by coming up with clever ideas and through our human-centred approach."
